The design for this double bill opera takes the audience from an autumn day in present Central Park to the bedroom of a rich Italian family during the Cavalier period in Florence, Italy. One set features soft fall colors among an NYC skyline, and the other, a gaudy world of green with forced perspective windows and comedic projections. A gilded opera-house-inspired proscenium unifies the two worlds.
